Ziss Brine Shrimp Hatchery
by Ziss Aqua
> Description
Made of strong, impact-resistant plastic Two Convenient Sizes, 2 Liters and 700ml Hangs on a tank, or in their stands Simply put, these are the best brine shrimp hatcheries on the market. You may be thinking, "How much better could these be over a 2-liter bottle?" When you hatch live baby brine shrimp every day, the construction and thoughtfulness of these designs won't go unnoticed. They are made of super strong plastic to withstand an impact, and have the option to run a heater and thermometer in them. We highly recommend running these brine shrimp hatcheries using our air pump , airline tubing , check valve , Aquarium Co-Op Brine Shrimp Eggs , and Easy Brine Shrimp Salt . The hatchery kits comes with: – Hatchery with needle-type valve – Hatchery lid – Hatchery stand – Height extenders for the stand (2) [Large ZH-2000ml model] – Thermometer (measures in Celsius) with o-ring [Large ZH-2000ml model] – Rigid airline tubing – Pipette [Large ZH-2000ml model] – Air stone (may be different than what is pictured) – Air valve [Large ZH-2000ml model] Note: The height of the Large ZH-2000ml hatchery with the stand is about 12.75 inches (32.3 cm), and the height of the Large hatchery with the stand and height extenders is about 16.5 inches (42 cm). The extra height beneath the Large hatchery gives you extra room to open the valve when draining out the baby brine shrimp. The height of the Small ZH-700ml with the stand is 12.5". Kits do not include brine shrimp eggs, measuring spoon, air pump, heater, or other equipment. Instructions for Hatching Brine Shrimp: 1. Fill to within 1 inch from the top with water. Use dechlorinator if your water contains chloramine. 2. For the Large ZH-2000ml model, add 2 tablespoons of marine salt, like Easy Brine Shrimp Salt . For the Small ZH-700ml model, add 2 teaspoons of marine salt. 3. For the Large ZH-2000ml model, add up to 1 tablespoon of eggs. For the Small ZH-700ml, add up to 1 teaspoon of eggs. Raise the temperature to 75–80°F. 4. Let hatch for 24-36 hours (or more depending on temperature). 5. Use a light near the bottom spout to attract the brine shrimp for collecting. 6. Collect the brine shrimp using a sieve or container. 7. Thoroughly scrub the hatchery and lid with hot water before hatching the next batch of eggs. Do not use soap. We don't use the provided air stones in our setups, as it makes cleaning harder between hatches. If you wish to use the air stones, you'll need to cut down the rigid tubing.
