Fritz Expel-P
by Fritz
Description
Treatment for parasites Effective against planaria Safe for plants and invertebrates Expel-P from Fritz Aquatics is used as a deworming medication and is intended to treat parasites such as Planaria, Nematodes (like Camallanus Red Worms), Roundworms, Nodular Worms and Hookworms. Symptoms in new and sick fish can include worms visibly protruding from the anus of the fish, wasting, abdominal bloating, disinterest in food, or rapid breathing or gasping. The active ingredient used in Expel P is Levamisole HCl. Expel-P will not harm biological filtration, plants, invertebrates or fish which are not infected. We recommend using an air stone when treating with this medication. Expel-P does not treat Cestodes (tapeworms) or Trematodes (flukes). For these parasites, try Fritz ParaCleanse. Active Ingredient: Levamisole hydrochloride Available in 10 count and 20 count packs. For best results, we recommend removing chemical filtration from your aquarium filter before dosing the medication. Examples of chemical filtration include activated carbon, carbon-infused media pads, Seachem Purigen, phosphate media pads, and ammonia media pads. Instructions: 1. Use 1 packet Expel-P per 10 gallons (38 L) of water. 2. After 24 hours, perform a 25% water change to remove excreted worms/parasites from the ground. 3. Repeat the treatment one week later to prevent reinfection. Repeat weekly treatments as necessary.
